Dr. Marquie-Sayagues received her medical degree at the University of Barcelona Medical School in Barcelona, Spain (1997-2003) and compled her residency in neurology at Hospital de Sant Pau (2004-2008), also in Barcelona while she started her PhD studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
She continued her clinical training at the Memory Disorder Unit at Hospital Sant Pau, seeing patients and participating in clinical research for two years. In 2010, she joined the Neurology Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as a Research fellow, funded by a Caja Madrid scholarship from Spain.
Dr. Marquie-Sayagues' fields of interest are the study of dementias and parkinsonism, particularly Lewy body dementia, and its neuropsychological and imaging correlations. She is now participating in a study about patients with dementia and parkinsonism imaged with PET-PiB.
