Co-sponsored by the Alberta Prion Research Institute and PrioNet Canada [2], the world's largest international prion research conference will be held for the first time outside of Europe -- in Montreal, Quebec.
Prion-like propagation of protein misfolding will be one of the special themes of the meeting, which will include plenary lectures, special sessions, "hot topic" panels and poster presentations.
The relationship between prion diseases and other human misfolding protein diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases will also be discussed.
