This program is sponsored by the National Institute on Aging and the Office of Medical Applications of Research of the National Insitutes of Health, and will examine the scientific evidence related to the following issues:

 

-- Factors that are associated with the reduction of risk of Alzheimer's disease;

-- Factors that are associated with the reduction of risk of cognitive decline in older adults;

-- Relationships between the factors that affect Alzheimer's disease and the ones that affect cognitive decline;

-- Therapeutic and adverse effects of interventions to delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease, and potential differences in outcomes among identifiable subgroups;

-- Therapeutic and adverse effects of interventions to improve or maintain cognitive ability or preserve cognitive function, and potential differences in outcomes among identifiable subgroups.

 

The conference will also be Webcast live in its entirety beginning April 26, 2010, at http://www.videocast.nih.gov.
