This event is sponsored by the MGH's Disparities Solution Center and Committee on Racial and Ethnic Disparities and will feature renowned surgeon Dr. Atul Gawande of the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Research Director for the BWH Center for Surgery and Public Health. 

Dr. Gawande publishes frequently in the New Yorker magazine and has recently published a new book entitled The Checklist Manifesto:  How to Get Things Right.

The presentation aims to bring current issues and topies on disparities and health to the local community and will be held from 8:00 - 9:00am.
