Isabel Barroeta-Espar, MD
Isabel Barroeta-Espar is a neurologist and research fellow at the MassGeneral Institute for Neurodegenerative Disease (MIND), where she works on Alzheimer's disease. she leads a project about resilience on Alzheimer's disease and has worked with induced-pluripotent stem cells as a neurogenerative disease model.
Previously, Dr. Barroeta-Espar has worked with neurological patientsw at Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, Spain. A native of Venezuela, she graduated from Lycee Joffre in Montpellier, France, and obtained her MD at the Universidad de Los Andes, Merida, Venezuela.
