How To Participate As A Research Subject

The Massachusetts ADRC is world-renowned for its state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary research in basic, clinical, genetics, neuroimaging, neuropathology and translational science that has implications for understanding the causes of Alzheimer's disease. We welcome individuals from all walks of life to join us in our efforts to find effective treatments and an eventual cure for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.

Our Center is especially committed to including individuals and family members from diverse gender, racial, ethnic, disability, sexual orientation and socioeconomic backgrounds in our research and dialogue to address the health-care disparities that are affecting public health in this country. We believe that it is only through inclusiveness in our research outreach efforts that efficacious treatments can be found for all segments of society.

 

Assurance of Research Subjects Confidentiality

The Massachusetts ADRC has a Certificate of Confidentiality issued by the US Department of Health & Human Services/National Institutes of Health to protect the privacy of individuals who are enrolled in our research. Such a Certificate is used to protect identifiable research information from forced disclosure in any civil, criminal, administrative, legislative or other proceeding, either at the federal, state of local level. A copy of the Certificate is attached.
