The Massachusetts ADRC is an active supporter of the Alzheimer's Association's (MA & NH chapters) Greater Boston Walk to End Alzheimer's fundraising event. For several years, our Center's director, Dr. Bradley T. Hyman, had served as the Honorary Medical Chair of this successful event.

The Annual Memory Ride organized by the Alzheimer's Association will take place on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from the Devens Museum Field in Devens, MA.Exciting new changes for the 2012 Memory Ride includes a "Family Ride", "30 Mile Introductory Ride", "60 Mile Metric Century Ride", and the challenging "100 Mile Century Ride". AlzTogether is a committee of young professionals (ages 25-40) who support the mission of the Alzheimer's Association, MA/NH Chapter. Join the committee at the Lucky Strikes Lanes (145 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA 02115) for a night of networking, social awareness and striking out Alzheimer's!

General admission is only $20 before June 1st and it includes bowling, fees for bowling shoes, and light appetizers. Cash bar and additional food can be ordered. Tickets are available now. Get yours before prices go up!

Members of the Boston-area scientific community are cordially invited to participate in the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and Boston University Alzheimer's Disease Center's 25th annual scientific poster symposium on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 9:00am - 12:00pm in the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School (77 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston, MA 02115). The event will consist of a three-hour poster session in the Society for Neuroscience (SFN) format, and a light breakfast will be served.

Reisa A. Sperling, MD,MMSc, of the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Disease Research Center will give a talk on "Before the Memories Fade" at the Boston Commission on Affairs of the Elderly Health and Long Term care Task Force's monthly presentation series on November 10, 2011.

The presentation wil be held in Room 115 of the Boston City Hall (1 City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA 02201).

Hosted by State Representative Jeffrey Sanchez (D - Jamaica Plain) and Boston University/Boston Medical Center, the Harvard Clinical & Translational Science Center and the Tufts Clinical & Translational Science Institute, the event will feature a speaker series, health screenings, a luncheon at noon, and free giveaways.
