EARLY

We are researching the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in people who might be at increased risk for developing memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In AD, there are abnormally high levels of a protein, called amyloid, in the brain. We hope that the medication can reduce the amount of amyloid in the brain.

We are looking for participants who:

  • Have generally normal memory function in daily life
  • Are age 60 to 85 years
    • If you are age 60 to 64 years, you will need to have at least one of the following:
      • A parent or sibling with Alzheimer’s disease
      • Been told that you are at increased risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease (that you have the apolipoprotein E [APOE] ԑ4 gene or a proven elevation of beta-amyloid in your brain
  • Have a close friend, relative, or spouse who can come to some trial visits with you
  • Are willing to undergo MRI and PET scans
