Call for Applications: 2011 MGH Clinician-Teacher Development Award (Four Year Awards for Junior & Mid-Career Clinicians and Teachers Under-Represented in Academic Medicine)
The Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)'s Multicultural Affairs Office and the Executive Committee on Research are inviting faculty and physicians pursuing an academic career as clinicians, teachers, community and/or administrative leaders to apply for its 2011Clinican-Teacher Development Award designed for MDs and/or PhDs at MGH who are under-represented in academic medicine.
The award is intended to provide transitional funding for support in the development of such clinicians/teachers, and an amount of $30,000 per year, plus 15% indirect costs will be provided for each awardee. The award has two components: A minimum of $15,000 may be used for salary and non-capital equipment, and a maximum of $15,000 to repay qualified educational loans.
Under-represented minorities in academic medicine include Hispanics, African-Americans, Alaskan Natives and American Indians.
